20th February 2006 - Sadler Claims First Win for New Raybestos® Brand Brakes High-Performance Braking System

Victory Comes in Braking System’s Competitive Debut

Robert Yates Racing driver Elliott Sadler earned the first win for the new Raybestos® brand brakes high-performance braking system in the first Gatorade Duel Feb. 16 at Daytona International Speedway.

Sadler’s winning performance came in the braking system’s competitive debut after engineers for Raybestos® brand brakes began developing and testing the new technology in 2005. Sadler and his Robert Yates Racing teammate Dale Jarrett are the only NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series drivers currently utilizing the Raybestos® brand brakes braking system, which includes calipers, rotors and hats, brake pads and hardware.

Sadler will start third in this Sunday’s Daytona 500 as a result of his victory in the Gatorade Duel.
