23rd June 2006 - Affinia Under Vehicle Group Announces Raybestos® Brand Brakes Rotors and Disc Pads for Sprinter Vans

Affinia Under Vehicle Group has announced its new Raybestos® brand brake rotors and disc pads for Dodge and Freightliner Sprinter vans.

Available in five popular part numbers, all plates for these applications feature industry-leading technology such as mechanical steel attachments for superior pad shear strength. In addition – and unlike similar offerings for Sprinter vans – Raybestos® brand pads incorporate loose electronic wear sensors for added customer convenience.

As a complement to the five Raybestos® brand brakes disc pad part numbers, three Raybestos® brand rotor part numbers are available for the Sprinter platform.

Raybestos® brand brakes are produced by Brake Parts Inc., the leading manufacturer of braking systems and components for the automotive industry and part of Affinia Group Inc. The line includes everything from brake drums to rotors, pads, shoes and hydraulic parts. Brake Parts Inc. is at the forefront of research and development in brake technology and operates manufacturing and distribution facilities throughout North America. Raybestos® brand brakes are the official brakes of NASCAR, and the NASCAR relationship also includes the Raybestos® Rookie of the Year Award, which is presented to the top rookie in each of the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup, Busch and Craftsman Truck racing series.
