12th January 2007 - COMEC Introduces New Robotic RPF.21 Universal Grinding Machine

The capabilities of the RPF.21 Grinder is unequaled in the friction industry today, and ensures COMEC lead the field in solution solving grinders for any type of friction manufacturers demands.

The RPF.21 has the capabilities to grind ALL types of Chamfers or Slots, this includes Linear, Diagonal, Radial, V-Shaped slots, or Parallel, Compound, Diamond, Asymmetric or J-Chamfers, as just a few examples:

  It is also capable of grinding friction material plus metal back plates when required.
  The RPF.21 also needs NO tooling and NO dedicated fixtures, or universal grinding wheels.
  This makes it ideal for small to larger batch quantities.
  Very short and simple set up procedures, with automatic loading and unloading, whilst retaining accuracy with long term reliability.

The RPF.21 Grinder is capable of grinding pads from the size of smaller motorcycle pads to large heavy railroad pads, making it  revolutionary  to the way of grinding we know today, it brings a whole new concept of ensuring we meet the demands for braking world future.
