24th November 2008 - Duroline and Borrachas Vipal announce Strategic Partnership

Duroline SA and Borrachas Vipal recently announced the terms of their new strategic partnership. VIPAL became a strategic partner of Duroline's by acquiring 49% of  Duroline SA's stock assets. This new partnership will solidify both companies efforts within the Domestically and International CV markets. Further details with be forthcoming.

Since their inception in 1973 Vipal has become a world-class and world-wide supplier and manufacturer of Automotive, CV and Off-Road Industrial tire related products. Vipal pioneered cold-vulcanization in Brazil in the 1970's. Currently Vipal enjoys established distribution in Brazil, Europe and North America.

Duroline, with it's patented Wave Process, remains as one of the largest Friction manufacturers in South or Central America, with an ever growing  presence in North America. Mr. Carlos Mazzochi, President of Duroline and Mr. Arlindo Pauldo, President of Borrachas Vipal look forward to the synergies which will materialize as a result of this partnership.
