Control to Close Facilities in Charlottesville and South Hill
On the 1st of April 2009 WVIR-TV,
the NBC affiliate in Charlottesville Virginia, reported Carlisle Motion Control
will be closing its operations in Charlottesville and South Hill Virginia.
Approximately 25 people are employed at the Charlottesville site located in the
University of Virginia Research Park in Albemarle County. This location is
the research, development and sales facility. The South Hill facility is a
manufacturing plant for Carlisle Motion Control. Approximately 100 people
are employed there. No word on when the offices will officially shut down.
