May 2009 - Jurid Brakes Added to E-catalogs for Easier Part Number Look Up
Comprehensive Coverage Now Available
for Popular European Vehicles Through Honeywell’s Friction Materials
Business Unit
Newly introduced to North American customers, Jurid® brake pads will
now be available in domestic catalogs – including the Bendix iParts
e-catalog found at www.bendixbrakes.com as well as in popular third
party e-catalogs beginning in June.
“Getting up-to-date part
numbers listed in e-catalogs that our North American customers use
will make it easy to locate the appropriate part number and place an
order,” said Jim Kelley, Director of Sales, U.S., for Friction
Materials, a business unit of Honeywell International.
Friction Materials
originally announced Jurid’s North American introduction at the
AAPEX Show, and since then, has focused on ensuring that the proper
list of part numbers is offered and access to data is easy for their
customers to obtain.
There is already
comprehensive coverage for a number of popular European
applications, and more models are being added every month. The line
consists of OE specified low-metallic brake pads with OE style
shims, hardware, backing plates, chamfers and slots. In addition,
wire wear sensors are available if the OE application calls for it.
“We are excited
that the Jurid brand introduction in North America is now official,”
said Kelley. “It is a well-known and very reputable product line and we
think our customers will be very pleased with our offering.”
Jurid products have
been original equipment in the world’s leading cars since 1914. They
are an OE supplier to companies such as Mercedes Benz, BMW, Jaguar,
Volvo, Audi and Volkswagen. In Europe alone, one in three vehicles
use Jurid, and more than 80 million disc brake pads and drum brake
linings are produced every year.
Friction Materials,
a business unit of Honeywell International Inc., is headquartered in
Glinde, Germany. Serving both original equipment and aftermarket
customers, products offered include Bendix® and Jurid® friction
materials and hard parts.
