17th December 2009 - Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems Names Arnfred Kulenkampff CFO and VP of Finance & IT

Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC continues to bolster its management team focused on delivering a strategic foundation for short- and longterm business growth. The North American leader in active safety and brake system technologies recently named Arnfred Kulenkampff chief financial officer and vice president of finance and IT.

In his new role, Kulenkampff will have overall strategic and functional leadership responsibility for the IT and finance teams, including financial plans and policies; accounting practices; long-range forecasting; investments and lending relationships; and preparation for financial reports.

Prior to Bendix, Kulenkampff was the vice president of finance at Alcoa Electrical and Electronic Solutions in Farmington Hills, Mich., where he led the finance and IT functions for the Tier 1 global integrated electrical harness supplier. He was responsible for establishing management control systems and business planning activities aimed at improving cash flow, working capital, and overall profitability for the company, which consisted of 27 plants in 11 countries. Prior to serving at Alcoa, Kulenkampff was president of Reum Corporation in Waukegan, Ill., a family-owned Tier 1 and Tier 2 supplier of plastic molded parts for high-end interior automotive applications.

A chartered accountant (CPA equivalent), Kulenkampff has a CTA, a master’s of accounting equivalent, from the University of Cape Town, South Africa, and a bachelor’s of economics degree from the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa. Kulenkampff is fluent in English, German, and Afrikaans. He is proficient in U.S., German, South African, and British generally accepted accounting principles.
