4th May 2010 - Fras-le Reports Results for First Quarter 2010

Fras-le S.A., a Randon company that is the largest manufacturer of friction materials in Latin America and one of the world leaders in this industry, announces its results for the first quarter of 2010 (1Q10). Except where stated otherwise, the operating and financial information is presented on a consolidated basis and monetary values are expressed in Brazilian reais, in accordance with Brazilian Corporation Law. Comparisons are made with the first quarter of 2009 (1Q09).

HIGHLIGHTS: With record sales volume and revenue, Fras-le's operating performance surged in 1Q10:

bulletGross revenue before consolidation: up R$ 158.0 million or 24.0% from 1Q09;
bulletConsolidated net revenue: up R$ 117.2 million or 31.5% from 1Q09;
bulletFras-le Brazil Exports (FOB): up US$ 22.4 million or 40.9% from 1Q09;
bulletEBITDA: R$ 22.2 million or 4 times higher than in 1Q09;
bulletConsolidated gross income: up R$ 39.7 million or 83.8% from 1Q09;
bulletConsolidated net income: R$ 12.8 million or 8 times higher than in 1Q09;
