Earns Hino Quality Excellence Award for Second Straight Year
Meritor WABCO Vehicle Control Systems has
received the Quality Excellence Award from Hino Motors Manufacturing
U.S.A., the truck manufacturer’s highest honor for product quality, for
the second straight year.
The award recognizes Meritor WABCO’s
facility in Hebron, Ky., which achieved a perfect defect rate of 0 parts
per million (PPM) during 2009. The Hebron plant supplies Hino with
pneumatic and hydraulic anti-lock braking (ABS) systems for vehicles
built in Williamston, W.Va., and Woodstock, Ont.
In addition to Hebron’s 0-PPM quality
rating, its on-time delivery performance was 96% for 2009.
“Winning back-to-back Quality Excellence
Award awards shows the consistency of our efforts to deliver the quality
and value that Hino customers expect,” said Jon Morrison, general
manager, Meritor WABCO. “It’s a well-earned honor for our team in
Hebron.”
Hino Trucks, a Toyota Group Company,
assembles, sells, and services class 4-7 commercial trucks in the United
States and is headquartered in Novi, Mich.
